VPN RESEARCH & AUTHORSHIP

Since 2018 I have overseen the production of all VPN advice content on Top10VPN.com. My team and I have published hundreds of pages, all adhering to strict standards of editorial ethics and impartiality. Working together with our CTO I crafted a bespoke VPN testing methodology which is at the heart of everything we create.

Over the years we have tested more than a hundred VPNs, producing in-depth reviews that always have the consumer first in mind. We have also created dozens of advice guides designed to demystify the confusing and potentially dangerous VPN industry. We don’t just want to help our audience pick the right VPN for them - we also want to help them better understand the technology behind the product and why safeguarding your digital life is so important.

Outside of Top10VPN I am a proud member of the International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP) and the EC Council’s Knowledge Review Committee. I take online privacy seriously and it’s a point of personal pride to be able to say I’m associated with global organisations doing such great work in the field.

I’ve also had writings published on a range of industry-leading websites. My personal highlights include:

  • I entered the field of journalism in 2012, shortly before obtaining my undergraduate degree. My first role was as a sports writer for CNN International.

I covered a variety of areas, as well as providing live web commentary for the 2012 London Olympic games - a role I then continued at Channel 4 for the Paralympic Games.

  • After two years in the sports I transitioned to the tech field, joining UK publication What Mobile in 2014 to produce its monthly magazine.

During my time there I was one of the country’s most prolific tech writers, covering the smartphone and tablet industry, producing hundreds of reviews, interviews, and articles for both print and online editions.

  • In 2015 I moved to Which?, Europe’s largest consumer association, as a researcher and writer. I covered several large product areas including laptops, desktops, smartphones, tablets, dash cams, hard drives, and more.

I was responsible for updating and maintaining their stringent reviews processes to deliver magazine and web content to the high standard demanded by their loyal subscriber readership.

  • As of 2018 I’ve been Site Editor at Top10VPN, the world’s leading VPN reviews and advice site. I head up a dedicated team of writers and researchers to create bespoke, accurate, and unbiased VPN content designed to educate and inform a global audience.

MY EDUCATION
  • NCTJ Diploma in Journalism, 2012

  • BA Hons. Multimedia Journalism from Bournemouth University, 2008-2012

  • Mill Hill School, 2003-2008

It was my privilege to attend the UK’s best journalism school at higher education, learning a huge number of vocational skills that still serve me well today.

I graduated from BU in 2012 after four years learning the print, broadsheet, radio, television, and digital press trades, and am still in regular contact with many of my fellow alumni who’ve found themselves elsewhere in the field.

While studying there I also acquired a full diploma in journalism from the UK’s National Council for the Training of Journalists.

Born and raised in London in 1989, I was fortunate enough to attend the historic Mill Hill School from 2003.
